ABOUT THE GAME
Hidden World is a virtual experience that emphasizes how the world is more than it seems. As you get teleported to a magical fairy world, fairies present you with puzzles to trick you. You must use the lens in order to see beyond the fairies’ schemes and solve puzzles while collecting keys to unlock subsequent doors until you reach the final portal to go home.
The video highlights real gameplay from Hidden World as well as the process from producing the experience. The player rekindles childhood feelings of “home” as they explore this magical world and realize its difference from reality.
DESIGN
Hidden World is a short video game designed to mimic parallel worlds of both fantasy and reality.
STORY
Your goal is to return home by locating keys and gems with the use of a magical lens. By exploring the environment and interacting with fairies, will you be able to get home…?
CONCEPT
Hidden World is based off of fairy tales like Alice in Wonderland but with a darker twist. Fairies generally exemplify a whimsical feeling but you can’t always trust what you see…
HOW TO PLAY
With the use of Arduino, control a physical lens while you venture through the fantasy world. Press the button on the lens to see hidden objects. Move the player with WASD on the keyboard and activate the lens with the Left Button and interact with objects with the Right Button on the mouse.
